Citizen Science Now!

UCL East, Stratford, London

15 - 23 June 2024

Presenting an insider’s view of London, Citizen Science Now! showcases work by citizen scientists from all backgrounds conducting innovative research within their own communities.

Co-curated by citizen scientist Twinkle Jayakumar and the UCL Citizen Science Academy, the exhibition featured work undertaken as part of the Good Life North Kensington project, including specially commissioned artworks by Alaa Alsaraji created in collaboration with the North Kensington team, and responding to the collective themes and outcomes of their place-based research.

The exhibition highlighted the stories of local people tackling big questions in an ever-changing city:

What actually is a ‘good life’?
What does prosperity (or lack of it) really feel like?
Who or what makes a community?

Through captivating stories, photos, maps and artwork, citizens from across London presented outputs from their work seeking to make change happen from the bottom up.
